I started back on MTX. It’s been several weeks now. I have also been SO diligent to take in as much folic acid as possible daily. I hav not even had one episode of burning feet, or feet that feel like walking on broken glass. It is true, you MUST ingest about 3000 mcg of folic acid daily to prevent the peripheral neuropathy. I wonder though, does taking iron supplements cause the body to flare, or continue with rashes??? I stopped taking a multi-vitamin 2 days ago that had 28 mg of iron, and I do not have a rash this evening, although I had a horrendous rash last night with a bit of a fever.
I started taking yoga 3 days a week at the club. I think the meditation part is what I need the most. I have a dificult time settling down, or quieting the mind. I’m always thinkin’ . nevertheless, this yoga, it seems to help on the days I take it. I do feel calmer, but sometimes the class is stressful, too hard for my weakling arms and legs. BUt I will continue. Time to start weights too, getting to look flabby-skinny-fat. EEEEWWW!!!
